Hi,
I am trying to fit to my Fireblade engine an oil cooler, Accusump set up; if anyone has done this or has some experience/knowledge of this what I need
to know is:
1. Is there a threaded access into the engine block in situ for the Accusump to plug into?
2. Can one fit a sandwich plate between the oil filter on a Fireblade engine?
3. If one can what size does the plate have to be?
4. how should I organize the flow; filter to cooler to accusump or some other way?
Getting really fustrated.
Ranjan.
To answer your questions -
1. Yes remove the large M20 fine thread adaptor that the oil pressure switch sits in and you are in - if you want to reinstate the pressure switch we
usually incorporate it into a bespoke swivel union. You will need a male male M20 fine to Jic -10 adaptor fabricating.
2 Yes we supply and use a billet oil sandwich plate with 1/2 inch bsp ports into which we screw 1/2 bsp to jic -10 male male adaptors
3 Minimum -10 hose
4 Fit separately for best results
- accusump to main gallery and oil cooler plumbed off sandwich plate
Hope that helps
