So, I decided to sell my car and buy another one as I loved my car so so much but it looked a little rough round the edges so decided to buy a nicer
one to keep.
My quandary was that even although mine doesn't look the nicest it drives amazingly with some high end parts that I would struggle to get
again.
I've worked in the motor trade for years so decided to use all my contacts to update mine and thought I'd share my pics and on going build
with you all...........................................................................................

This is the pictures of the car as I got it. It had MK1 Escort sport dials in it, terrible seats and was quite old fashioned looking.........I set
about changing it..........
I actually really like the exterior of that. Interior was a bit of a wreck though.
Thanks theduck.
I liked it too but the inside was a bit rough so I started to look at upgrades and started to get a bit carried away.
The first thing I did was do a lot of research then decided to have a go at painting it myself with an amazing product called Plasti-dip. It's
really worth googling this stuff, it's utterly amazing. I've never sprayed anything before and got brilliant results in my single garage on
my own.

More pictures for the masking and preparing of the car for more Plast-dip painting and finally got rid of the old escort clocks that didn't work
to make way for the new fancy clocks I bought...............I'll put some pics up soon.

Ok, so I've been working hard on this and there have been good moves forward.
I've got it fully painted now after applying 4 coats. So it's now fully plasti-dipped!! I'm really happy with the results-for the
money it's quite amazing.

Now that it's fully painted I thought I'd get on with getting new seats to replace the very basic 80's ones I had in.
I have an incredibly helpful guy I deal with in the motor trade and he happened to have a perfect set of alcantara and leather Lotus Elise probax
seats that he kinda gifted to my project.
My other very competent friend started to make up brackets from scratch.

Spend so far.....................
£145. For plasti-dip
£5 brackets
£0 lotus seats
£0 labour
£150 total
