I've trying to fit a gear indicator to my kit car but the wiring diagram indicates that I need to connect it to the neutral light but as I'm not using the bike loom I don't have it. Are there any alternatives

Connect it to the neutral switch, it switches to earth.

It should work if you just connect that wire to the neutral switch I on the gearbox.

Where is the neutral switch on the gear box ? I'm not using the bike loom ?
