Is it easy enough to mount the pump on/in a new tank? Any pics? Thanks

You do not need the petcock, on the bike it is only used for longtime storage or draining the tank (normally its always open)

The fuelpump is mounted below the tank with ~15cm of hose, shouldn't be a problem, but you probably want it below the tank.
