Has anyone fitted an early 893 Fireblade engine and used the rad and fan from the same bike with any success

Yep, mine has a blade rad and only on hot trackdays with my latest engine, does it ever run slightly hot. The previous engines have run absolutely fine yet this engine runs hotter with exactly the same plumbing etc, so I can only assume some of it is luck of the draw with the engine you get.
Having said that, on the road (even in traffic) and on cooler trackdays even this engine is absolutely fine.
