Hi everyone, can you run any of the blade engines with a wet sump and a baffle or do they need a dry sump kit?
Thanks
Marc
wet sump is fine. Ideally a billet sump with baffle plate from AB Performance.
Ace,does that go for all blade engines?
Pretty much, i've ran a 919 and currently a 998 and they've both had the AB sumps and if memory serves.....shortened strainers. Both in race situations.
Standard sump is fine
I have had mine 4 years now and had no problems with oil (unless you do something silly like not tighten the sump plug or knock it loose on a large
speed bump).
My oil pressure stays steady on long fast corners, accelerating and braking.
I'm after a billet sump now purely to solve my ground clearance issues, though it isn't essential as long as you know the sump is low (on my
car anyway)
cool, thanks for the advice people
