Hi all, just been looking at gearlever options, what do people use for the bike engine cars? Been trying to search universal kit car levers on ebay
but to no avail, I'll probably end up making one but before I miss a trick are there any off the shelf ones that tend to be used
Thanks
Marc
If you can weld just make something up
I used a piece of tube with a skate board wheel bearing pressed into the tube as a pivot, some flat steel on the bottom for the cable to attach too,and
some more tube welded on the top with a nut welded in the end for the gear knob to screw into.
MK used to sell a billet alloy lever off the shelf, might still be Able to get them from SKC or Kitcardirect

Old thick end of a glass fibre / carbon fishing rod
Light and stiff and comes with grip already stuck on!

Although mine is a special case as I also have a hand operated clutch, I used part of a handlebar from an old bicycle and adapted the bike brake lever to operate the clutch.
10mm stainless rod, run a die down the end and attach knob.
Job done.
