Got my Quaife ATB back from Douglas at Westgarage.
Now encased in one of his 'Eccentric Adjusting Bulkhead Mount' cradles.
Excellent service, top quality engineering, and great value for money!
I'm not sure whether to fit it to the car, or mount it on the mantlepiece...
How does the eccentric chain tensioner work? I'm sick of shimming my axle!
Very nice!
I could be in the market for one of these myself. Any chance you might accurately weigh it before it goes on the mantelpiece?
Or sell it?
Dibs
(for when you sell it)

The sprocket pivot is mounted in an eccentric mount, as you rotate them the pivot moves closer or further away from the engine and thus tensions the chain.
One would assume that with standard drive shafts fitted with CV's at each end it does not matter that as well as allowing for miss alignment in
the up & down plane a bit of horizontal miss adjustment is also permissible, providing this is not taken to far.
The allowable movement up down, and side to side in the diff is minimal when considering wheel movement for full compression to bounce.
Is my brain working correctly on that?
