I have a Quaife reverse box (gold job) fitted in my BEC which is as per usual God awfully noisy but is particularly bad in reverse and requires some pretty excessive throttle to get the car moving. During some searches I was doing for some pics of the box I came across a couple of topics suggesting that the correct orientation for the box was for the fill plug side to be on the right looking at the car from the back (drivers side of the car here in Oz and I believe in the UK as well). Mine is the other way around with the fill plug on the left, anyone tried theirs in both configurations or have found issues with them being backwards like the excessive throttle required to move the car in reverse?

Sorry to bring this thread back from the dead but while I was doing a search tonight trying to find the size socket required for the filler plug
(seriously does anyone know?) I found a few other posts about the reverse box mounting direction which were the opposite of the pic above. Just to
confirm it I emailed Quaife and as per the pic above (which is correct) the longest shaft is at the back when the looking at the reverse box from
above with the filler plug on the right:
