On Bike engines the stator gives us less watt to play with.
I was thinking LED headlights.
Are there any good LED headlights out there in 4" with high beam/ low beam and a good light pattern.
Must be ECE marked.
Not seen 4", plenty of 5" or bigger about.
Do you remember when headlights were large and at night oncoming cars didn't burn out your retinas? I miss those days.
I've got a pair of 5.75" jw speaker (iirc model 8630) lamps that are correctly ece marked and uk lh dip, they're in good nick and do
side dip and main, but not indicators.
There's not much other choice in 5.75" that is correctly approved, loads more choice in 7" lamps as they fit landies etc.
If they're of any interest pm me.
Dave
Most bikes run twin headlights anyway, you don't need to fit led
I've got 5.75" led lamps on mine. They're the ones RussBost was supplying a while ago. Dip, main, DRL and indicator. They had a
straight dip cut off and that's fine for me as I do as many miles in Europe as here but a bit of fettling to mount at a slight angle gives an
effective left dip.
In use they're great and far better than the previous h4 halogens. Like driving with your own sun. Makes driving at night really good.
If you Google Harley led lamps you'll find loads of them.
Why not just change the bulbs? https://www.classiccarleds.co.uk/
Seen a few cars with led headlight bulb replacements fitted and they've all had terrible beam patterns with little or no dip cut-off.

I fitted led bulbs in Debbie's Mini, great beam pattern, strong light, great (clear) colour
The same bulbs will not fit in my 4" headlights on the Striker
