Sorry, but this is aimed at any of the ZX engined owners although I'll listen to anybodies comments. I placed my engine into the the engine bay today
and was quite alarmed at the angle that the prop. will be at unless I modify the chassis. The sprocket shaft is approx 4-5" over, from the centre of
the tunnel, to the drivers side, am I doing something wrong?
Cheers Col.

I'm pretty sure that ST have modified the chassis to accomodate the zed engine,my prop runs pretty much dead centre to the tunnel, but the engine is
tight up to the passenger side chassis rails, the oil filter will just about fit on.
When the photos section is back up i'll post some pics.
p.s theres no right or wrong, it's whatever works.
good luck
Al
I've moved my engine up into the passenger footwell by about 4 inches to get a dead straight prop.
From what I understand it's ok for the prop to go off to one side via a UJ, but please don't take my word for it as I may well be wrong.
Jasper, looking into removing the steel to allow the engine further back as you have done, have you "replaced" the steel removed/ added bracing
etc.
Cheers Col
Shame the photo section isn't up yet, as the pictures would show it well. I just moved the bottom tube back about 5" and the top about 3", and then
mounted the sheet at a nice angle, good for passenger feet. I braced any unsupported bits left.
I also took the top headside mounting point on the engine to a solid welded in bar straight from the point at which the original line of the tube
comes out.
This probably makes no sense at all, so either wait to see the photos, or ring me on my mobile, I'll send you a u2u.
