Help, anyone know what could be wrong here? I have a hydraulic clutch on the ZZR and it's not working.

I've just finished linking my pedal to the clutch cylinder, fitted a new braided hose, attached it to the master and slave cylinders and bled the system.

Now I've tightened the bleed nipple up, the lever / pedal is rock hard. No movement at all. How much movement should I get on the push rod?

Could it have seized? Sorry but I don't know the first thing about how bike clutches work.

or have you pumped out the slave cylinder all the way whilst bleeding your clutch.
is the pedal allowing the master cylinder to close or is the pedal keeping it open.
what happens when you take the resirvoir cap off,is fluid being forced back into the top up bottle

In reverse order, when I take the fluid reservior cover off nothing happens, no fluid coming back up the line.

The pedal is linked to the original bike master cylinder and lever, which is allowing full movement.

I don't think I felt the master cylinder move when I was bleeding it, just very light resistance throughout until I got no more air coming through.

I don't know if I pushed the master cylinder all the way back into the bore before I mounted it. I'll take it off tomorrow and see. Any hints on getting the cylinder back into the bore?

Also should I be able to move the push rod when I have the cover off. Either by hand or using a lever?

you should be able to push the slave cylinder back with your fingers as long as the cap is off,but i dont think you will move the rod in becouse you will have to compress the clutch springs
