cbr1000 clutch operation
Taylor7 - 29/4/05 at 09:06 AM

How have people gone about clutch operation, I have 2 problems at this point

A:my clutch slave cyl interfears with my prop shaft adaptor, so the way i see it the cylinder will need siting couple of inch further out on brackets..Would you agree?

and

B:The clutch rod that i had saved for my engine has suspiciously dissapeared!..and i suspect the wife my have used it as a paint stirrer.

But making a new one is not a problem so if any on can size thiers (clutch rod) up for us it would be saving me the none excistent pennies.

Big cheers

Dan.

Dan

a)
i. Have you tried cutting down the cover the cylinder attaches to?
ii. Is it the body of the clutch cylinder or just the lug nearest the sproket that is in the way?
iii. Does your prop angle allow you to space out the cylinder, mine didn't (Not an MK but similar)
iv. Good luck!

b) I have a spare rod if required (Location - Sunny Barnsley)

Yeah - its anoying aint it!

Kissys photo archive has got some shots of his extended mounts and actuator rod - i'll be doing similar as I think most CBR1000 people do.
