Aprilia RSV, XR4x4 diff and a velocity, could it work???

Hi every1

I have been viewing the boards for a few months now and as I am about to finish Uni it is time to treat myself to a new project. I am almost 100% sure it is going to be a BEC but have a few questions to ask.

1. Has anyone installed an Aprilia RSV in a 7 yet? Any Pro’s and Con’s?

2. I have seen a XR4x4 in the local scrappy and have been offered the rear end for what I think is a fair price. Would this be suitable? And how much would you pay?

3. I live about 15 miles away from both Tiger and Luego, I think the Velocity looks like a good deal but other opinions would be appreciated?

Cheers

xr4x4 back end is suitable for use, a scrappy should charge £50 if its useless to them (ie, they dont know its LSD and useful to kit builders) up to £125 if they know you need it.

avoid tiger by all accounts

The RSV engine is pretty tall, but quite a few people ( including myself) think it would be a great engine to use..Marc at MNR was going to try to fit one but I'm not sure if he ever did..

other manufacturers you could look at could be MNR, MK, MAC1 and GTS.....

also you need to have room for the steeringcolum bar... and the exhausts..

it will also depend on wich year the engine is from because the earlier ones where inline 4 and newer ones are V2's??

Tks

Nope, they've always been V-Twins.... I contemplated it seriously, but then went R1....

I'd like to lob one in a Fiat 500 though! I say do it......
