Digital gauges

What is the best affordable digital gauge on the market today, I'm building a ZX9R powered DAX rush, the engine is from a 1998 bike.

There's been a few threads on this recently in here and also in other Locostbuilder areas (running gear etc). How much are you looking to spend?

Have you looked at the Veypor system ?

I think Stylus distribute them.

I've just fitted the Vepor to mine.

Dead easy to fit, 4 wires, and set up. Does speedo, odometer, rev counter, digital gear indicator, two stage shift light and data logging.

Can't wait to try out the 0-60, 1/4mile and 60-0 functions.

Mike

P.S. You'll need a bright 6 as well for oil, neutral, turn, handbrake and main beam.

PPS Doesn't do oil or water temps or pressures, or fuel level either. But if smoke comes out of bonnet one is too high and if it stops going you're out of fuel.

Im thinking about 250 euro's, i've looked everywhere for an original zx9r speedo '98 they are very hard to find.Ebay germany has lots off parts from a zx9r but no speedo, I think that's the cheapest solution...

So I'm now looking for an digital tacho that will fit for the engine and the car.

I also have another problem , I can't find an an adaptor prop that mounts the engine to the sierra propshaft..Not many build sites either from a dax rush bec...

Fitted and wired up my VR2 Veypor and Bright 6.

Photos as requested by GeoffB.

For scale, wide view of dash, with a standard 80mm speedo placed along side to give idea of size of Vr2 Display.

Close up of VR2 Display behind Sierra Wheel. I have located it so that it is inside the Sierra wheel, but could be moved up, in case I ever change to a smaller wheel. Say after an important government test.

Final shot from above showing mounting arm, although you could fix it flush to dash if you wanted. Should deflect for SVA purposes.
