cam chain tensioner
scotlad - 1/8/05 at 08:02 AM

Hi folks
Anybody got a spare cam tensioner for an 893/919cc Blade engine that they fancy selling me? The one on my carb engine has given up and reckon a new one wont be cheap!

Would have put this in the wanted section but worried nobody ever reads it!

please do

What's wrong with the tensioner?

scotlad - 1/8/05 at 08:30 PM

the tensioner has been 'modified' by the previous owner of the engine- i.e. the spring was broken so he 'fixed' the tensioner by screwing an m8 bolt through the middle with a nylok nut for adjustment- not ideal!!!

Pretty sure we've got one but we'll double check tomorrow to be sure and let you know

Is it just the plastic cam chain guide blade that you're after?

scotlad - 2/8/05 at 06:07 PM

nope the whole ally assembly that bolts on with 2 6mm bolts. its not meant to be disassembled, which is what appears tohave happened to mine in the past!

Hellfire - 2/8/05 at 07:16 PM

OK. Will have another scrounge through the box.

scotlad - 2/8/05 at 10:10 PM

cheers

Scotlad. Had a look through the box. Sorry for the length of time it's taken but it is a big box

Bad news - It would appear we don't have one.

Better news - MK Engineering did have one. Not sure if its from 893 or 919 though.

U2U your details, and I'll get it in the post to you.
