Most black boxes are relays...
Then ECU, Regulator/Rectifier, lot's of sensor's regarding temperature and air pressures.
Make sure you have the ignition barrel as this contains a small resistor which is vital if you want to start the thing
It looks like a total glut of wiring... most you can chop out as it is made to suit the bike. Just be careful and follow a path - get a good
electrical diagram and follow it circuit by circuit. It all comes together pretty easily. Trust me, I'm no electrician but I did it without so
much as a fuse blown or error - flat battery allowed?
Great engine - apparently better than a Hayabusa due to output gearing... but who knows? I don't think there's much to seperate any of them
really...
HTH - feel free to message or U2U if you need specific questions.
Noooooooooo, ive no ignition with it i seem to have everything else and was pretty chuffed. thanks for offering the help as i know im gonna need alot what keeps me going now is hearing yours singing on your video great stuff
Did you get the ram pipes (air trumpets), fuel pump and sender?
Just a few of the things that are so easily overlooked - not necessarily vital though.
mmmmmmmmm
LoL look at the poor old xe lump in the background he he he he
Can't see any of the parts mentioned above. Is that it, or is there a box full of other bits such as ecu, rec/rec and sensors etc?
I have all the loom and boxes, ill take a pic tommorow and feel free to tell me if theres any bits missing, i need to find out the age and model it is, this is 1 big engine aint it
heres another pic of a trial fit in me car
Looking at that pic you have two of the ram pipes in position, so theres probably another two in the box you mentioned.
Any chance of a picture showing the other side of the engine. This may help to identify what year it is.
Don't worry if you don't have the ignition barrel/switch. You just need to splice a 100 ohm resistor into the grey wire from the ignition.
Great, thanks for that. heres a pic of the other side
It's definitely an A1 or A2. The 'B' engines have a fancy throttle control between no. 2 & 3 throttle bodies.
Ours is a 2004 engine and has a similar throttle arrangement (as picture), although the engine mounting bracket on the exhaust side, looks to be
different
