Mods to book trans tunnel

After reading about mnr suppling bec chassis with narrow trans tunnel if requested got me thinking!

With bike engine there is no need for wide tunnel entrance. How much if any "room" do you need at the front of the tunnel for the prop?

Can i get away with straight tunnel on drivers side and slight widening on passenger side?

Hope this makes sense!! Well it is late

No - The drives side still needs to be the same at the end due to how far over the prop adapter will be on bike engines.

You can make the passenger side straight though, and even bring the engine further back and reduce the length of the passenger side cockpit by upto 12" - I wish I had done this.

The rest of the tunnel between the people can be a lot narrower as well and dead straight.

Hope that helps,

I put my back prop in through the tranny tunnel top. With a sierra flange it JUST fits (ie you have to wrestle with it a bit to get it in) I don't know what you'd do with a narrower tunnel. Ah wait a mo - I've used 25mm tube there to beef it up for IRS - still a point to consider though.
cheers
