How much movement should there be in the clutch arm? There seems to be just under quarter of a turn to take up the slack (arm now pointing directly at
side of clutch cover). Then the arm goes tight. I have read that it is difficult to just move the lever by hand but it is now connected to the pedal
and still doesn't really want to move. I was expecting this to be very light to operate. Are we right in assuming that the 1st bit of movement is
just the slack?
Thanks
Ben.
Ps. Engine sounds fantastic!!
tighten up an adjustable spanner round the clutch arm. this will give you enough leverage to operate the clutch by hand.
Once the slack is taken up, you should be looking at about 12mm of linear movement on the cable.
