Just fitting my propshaft adaptor on the R1 motor and there's no room for the splined retaining washer for the sproket nut.

Any one else got the same and would you be happy with just threadlock ?

I wouldnt worry too much, once the props on, it
can't really come off anyway.

The front section of my prop slides into place. Though there is a small locking nut / collar on the prop.

It sounds like you might have a universal R1/blade sprocket adapter thats made for both as the blade needs a thicker spline section.

Even if the nut cant come off when the prop is bolted on, if it comes loose at all it will cause vibration and because you have a sliding joint on the front I would imagine that it could work its way loose and detach eventually.

Although you may well get away with some decent locktite, if you can I would get the back of the sprocket adapter turned down a little to allow the retaining washer to fit, although sometimes they are hardened so difficult to machine.

yeah, I had that trouble to... a mate put it on his lathe and machined it down for me.

i got my r1 adaptor machined down as well but on the busa i didnt bother as the adaptor was thinner so i used loctite on the spines and then put the adaptor on and then loctited the nut on,a few months down the line i wanted to take the adaptor off to sort out my speedo but couldnt get the adaptor off lol

I had to do the same to mine. It's not a problem but adds another level of security!

Mine too. IIRC approx 4mm shaved off the back.

Very hard stuff I was told by my local machine shop.
