was reading "BEC" list and spotted this post........decided not to reply
"Buy the OMS.
You don't want a crude Locost with a puny 900cc engine. By the time
you've got it SVAd you'll have spent six grand anyway.
You know I'm right!
Chris."
Yeah I'm sure that I saw something similar along the lines of this....
Hi All
Contrary to recent rumours regarding the fittng of a Motorbicycle engine of Japanese origin in the Tangerine Dream, I can clearly state that this is
nonsense. Whoever started the rumour should be shot at dawn and then hung drawn and quartered. Frankly you should all be ashamed of yourselves for
thinking such a thing!!! A hipocrite I am not, well not today anyway, and who said there was anything wrong with Jap bike engines anyway, not me, I
love 'em. In fact that sounds like a good Idea, no,no, must resist, keep taking the drugs. Repeat after me 'We fought them in the war you
know' etc........'grandad........bridge........river kwai......'etc.......must
resist...........................................................................................................................................(coll
apses in a sweaty heap)
We should've seen this as the first signs really shouldn't we.

nice one Andy, but the Chris in the post above aint our PTM Chris, but some one knocking the locost.........
Jon,
Well it was posted by him - http://forum.locostbuilders.co.uk/xmb/viewthread.php?tid=3547
Unless I'm being a complete muppet
yeap, the one you put up was, like i said "nice one".......but the one i posted is to be found on the "yahoo BEC" list........ hope this clears the fog.......
Oh right I see now. I'll get my coat
I hope it's a nice far eastern coat, manufactured by our good nipponese friends, purveyors of fine motorcycle engines.
It's only a small one about size 918cc if I'm not mistaken. Highly tuned, very clean and has a built in gearbox. Very very reliable almost
bomb proof so I'm told. Far more so than a x-flow, erm... I mean flak jacket.
And it's light to wear too
Is this OMS the single seater track car they've been talking about? If it is then screw that, I want to be able to loon about on the road, and
the cruder the better I say (and they dont come any cruder than PTM!).
And whats this £6k bollocks, mine will only have cost about £5500!
Anyway, I shouldn't take it too seriously, most of those chaps dont...
