Somewhere between removing and refitting my sump this O-ring's disappeared.

Anyone able to tell what size it is, or is my best bet just to buy a box full and see what fits?
Thanks,
Martin.
Ahhh. You are doing what I was doing a couple of days ago.....
The o'ring isn't in the service manual or the parts manual that I can see.
Do what Chris says and just take the other one with you to check you get the right one.
When doing my engine change I lost one so went to the local Yamaha dealer and ordered a few, they are only pence each and they show up on their microfiche.
What other one? Or is the pipe just a push fit into the sump?
Cheers Chris, will be passing my local dealer on thursday, will gvie them a go. Last time I got told off for not having a frame no
.
Thanks,
Martin.

Yup, the pipe just pushes into the sump, there's an identical o-ring on each end.
Pull on the pipe, it's just a push fit. There should be an o'ring on each side of the pipe. If it's not there, look in the hole in the engine where the pipe goes into or the hole in the sump where it goes.
BTW I wouldnt expect to pick them up that day, of the two Yamaha dealers Ive tried around here, they stock nothing other than oil and air filters
unlike the Honda dealer I used to use which stocked loads of gakets and service parts like clutch plates etc. To top that, it seems to take a standard
3 days for Yamaha to deliver the ordered parts to the dealer
For the same reason it would be worth getting a couple of clutch and sump gaskets in stock whilst you're there cos its sods law you'll need
one the day before a trackday etc when they wont have them in stock

Common mistake it seems, I pinched the bottom o ring, so be careful as there's no chamfered edge on the sump side.
Suprising how juck you move when you can see Castrol R dripping on the floor.
I'd use genuine Yamaha parts, as Chris said they are only pennies, but need to be ordered in.
hi guys,
I need to get a replacement O ring for my water pump drain pipe on my R1 03 motor. I have tried to order them from our Yamaha dealer here on the Isle
of Man, but they said they couldn't find them on their system? Would anyone be able send me the part number for these O rings please? Then I can
go back to them and hopefully get them ordered.
Cheers, Ben
* bump *
Please, if anyone can let me know the part number for these water pump drain pipe O rings for the Yamaha 2003 motor I would really appreciate it. The
Isle of Man Yamaha dealer here is still adamant that they're not listed as a replacement part which apparently isn't true according to this
thread. I hope someone can help me out on this.
Cheers,
Ben
The part number should be:
93210-06667-00
It's shown on the water pump diagram page.
This page should show you details, always handy for part
no's.Linky
Thank you very much this, much appreciated...I'll get the O rings on order and look forward to removing the sump yet again! :0
Cheers
