After 3 months of trying to start the damned engine it has finally sprung into life earlier this evening. Read all the info posted on here about
resistors, interlocks and making sure everything was connected but still no joy.
In the end it turned out to be the fuel pump itself. Found a replacement pump on good old ebay, fitted it, and it fired first time! (not to self, do
not start up a bike engine, with no exhaust fitted in a garage with the door closed!)
On with the build...
Top bloke - well done. Who would have thought this though? Very odd...
it was only when the "correct" pump arrived i realised the part numbers were different! gave it another few blips today and it still gets
the the blood pumping.
