Fan switch wiring

Hello again its becoming a regular visit now as i get ever nearer to starting the engine for the first time.

Im just sorting the loom on my ZX12-R and wanted to know if anyone has used the original fan switch.

I just extended the switch loom and connected it to the thermostatic switch on the polo rad.

I just recently bought one of those adjustable fan switches from demon thieves and never thought about the bike loom.

So the bike loom doesnt have a switch in it you still had to use the polo switch, so i will just use my adjustable switch.

The adjustable is better as bike temps and car temps may vary. My engine (K series) has an 88 degree stat and my twin fans cut in just over 90 degrees.
The top temp of my engine is around 95 degrees after a blast!!!!!!!!

the fan switch for the bike is fitted into the rad. I just had the 2 connections on the loom. If you have got an adjustable switch just connect it to your two leads and plumb it in.

Dont suppose you can help me with my other wiring?

Im just tidying up the zx12-r loom ,can i simple cut out the wires for say brake light switch as long as i dont cut anything else out or do i have to put resitors or stuff anywhere.

I used most of the bike loom and just extended or removed the extra wiring. For the brake lights I just connected the pressure switch in the brake line directly to the connections on the loom. I tried to make it easy by using as much of the original ZX12 loom as possible and just adding extra circuits like hazards and fogs etc.

I already have a loom so will leave that for my lights etc.

If you have your own loom then with a bit of care you should be able to remove anything not connected to any of the engine starting and running circuits (lights,ind etc).
