Seen a couple of people posting, asking for one of these. How do they work? Is it a float arm or just a resistance based sensor? Do they act as a
switch, or do you need complex electronic mumbo jumbo to make them work?
If they are simple to fit, I might be tempted to fit one to mine, cause the sight glass for checking the level points down the transmission tunnel.
Cheers

They have a float inside and the resistance varies as it rises and falls. It doesnt switch at any specific level unfortunately, so you'd need some kind of electronics to turn a warning light on if you're not using the bike clocks.
So not just a simple screw in job then? Was hoping to drill and tap a hole in the case at the appropriate level, connect it up to a +12v and a lamp.
Bob's your uncle.
Nevermind.
Thanks anyway.
Mike
Nope, its quite a large device that bolts in from the base of the sump, about 2" high
