Silly question, I know, but is it simply a case of using the OEM bike fuel pump?
If you have it, then that would be the easiest/best option.

Yep - all sorted out!
Great chap to speak to - very helpful.
I ended up buying a couple of sets of Radial Calipers from him that I intend playing with (probably without success, but what the hell... !).
Yup. Best to use the bike pump unless its an in tank jobby in which case something else might be easier....
I was going to say, is it carbed or injection? If the latter then the R1 in tank pump isnt the easiest thing to fit due to needing a matching flange welded into the tank, so an inline Bosch pump would be easier. I used one specced for a Rover/TVR V8 install, but others have used a similar pump from a Calibra/Vectra I think, there was a thread within the last month or two that had details in it (posted by Jim Giblett I think)
Because of the flange issue on the R1 pump, I am going to use a kwaka zx10 pump. They are bolt in and cost about 25 notes on fleabay.
I used the 03 R1 pump fitted to the bottom of my tank. I've only used it in the garage but it seems to work ok and doesn't leak!!
