BEC accelerator cable

What do you recommend I use for an accelerator cable on my 'Blade engine?
Do I get/use one of the original two push/pull cables for the bike -are these long enough? or bite the bullet and buy a Westfield megablade one? or use something like a universal mountain bike brake cable? (saw these in halfords and looks like the correct nipple for the carb end?)

Andy.

Mountain bike cable.

Job done.

Mountain bike cable is perfectly adequate for the accelerator cable, there isn't a great force so strong cable not required.

However be careful with how it's fed through the bulk head to your pedal. Mine snapped on a trackday a couple of weeks ago, right at the pedal. Basically the leverage of the pedal caused the cable to rub against the hole and it gradually wore out.

I'm now going to feed a piece of "outer" through my hole, to give the cable a safe passage without a concentrated friction point....if you see what I mean.

bit of fuel pipe hose bunged down the hole soon helps
