Extra carb spring
matt.c - 18/9/07 at 08:37 PM

Fitted my cable to the carbs on my zx9r, all setup but i have found there is not enough spring pressure to return the pedal. Do you add an extra spring to the carbs or the pedal? Please attach pics if you have any.

Many thanks locosters.

I think pedal if you can, less strain on the cable.

If you're going to compete at all you'll need the second spring on the throttle spindle / linkage not the pedal end.

If you look at where your nipple hooks to the throtle, you will see a nuckle, it has a small hole in the top, i hooked a long spring to that and bolted it down where the heat sheild is, it was the only way i could find of doing it.

I did both - throttles to ensure they close and pedal to give some more feel...
