
Hi Chaps
I am just buying my racing buggy ready for next year running in the Nora Supermoto championship. Very excited!
Anyway, it is running in the 900 class with a 918 blade engine with standard box and carbs. My question is, what is the best way to
'fettle' a little more grunt from this engine. Whats my best bang for buck whilst remaining with a smooth torquey power delivery?
Dynojet kit - whats the approx increases here?
Different air filter? Any noticeable improvement?
ECU (CDi) changes? Any worthwhile mods here?

I believe that a Dynojet kit INCLUDING filter is meant to give roughly 10% so if you couple that to a standard (ISH) blade output of 129 you get a
reasonable 142.
Stick on a decent exhaust might get you a few more brake (maybe) so at a push, maybe 145.
I have read (on here) recently that a CBR600R ECU would lift the rev limit to higher then the standard 11,750 of the 918 Blade, but I'm not
entirely sure I'd want to do that on a road car.
Obviously as your racing that doesn't matter so go for it!

Its probably worth giving Andy Bates a call at AB Performance. If there is anything to be gained from using a CBR600 ECU, then he'd probably know
about it along with spec/year you'd need.
He also sells dynojet kits.
He really does know his onions when it comes to all things 'Blade.

As others have said, speak to Andy. There's lots that can be done (cams, head work, big bore etc) its just a matter of cost.
Out of interest though, is a 919cc engine allowed in a 900cc class?

I wonder if it effective to design some milder cams for it to increase bottem end at the cost of some top end.
