I’m new to BEC and as well as been stuck between what engines;

R1
GSXR1000
ZZR1100
ZX9R
Etc
Etc

I am not sure what bits I need to get when I buy an engine?

I have been offered a zx1100 engine for 650 but needs carbs and loom is this a good engine and how expensive will it be to replace the extra ancillaries?

I'd forget this engine - seems a lot of money with no carbs/loom.

Things you need with the engine are:

Carbs
Looms
ECU
Fuel Pump
Coils

And if you can get them cheap/free: clocks, airfilter, clutch cable, rad, ignition with key

Ok forgotten about it already. Nightmare sourcing a good reasonably priced BE!
