
is it ok to tap this big bugger for a oil pressure sender?
My can turned up today.
I take it i need a rolled end for SVA? is it just a matter or drilling out the rivets and going from there?

yes, I think so! Or just remove the plug and fit something with the same size thread...

I screwed the sender direct into that bolt - still OK after a year ;^)
The link above also recommends T ing the pipe off to an oil temperature sender though "it may not be 100% accurate". what a larf. ambient
engine bay temperature sender I'm afraid.....
re exhaust - I think it's the standard external radius requirement. I "modified" the strap going round the body of the can (with a
hammer) as the contactable edges are unaccountably raised to make them even more of an issue. Flattened back they just have to be
"blunted"
