hi there,
i noticed recently that my zx12r has ?no crankbreather pipe/hose.
Does anyone have a clea picture of the engine showing where the breather should be located?
i guess mine is blocked off by a bolt?
thanks

This is about the only picture I can find that shows the crankcase breather on the ZX12R. The outlet is directly below the chrome K&N filter and
connects to it via a short length of rubber pipe.

Crankcase breather
It's difficult to tell from the photo but the outlet for the crankcase is directly above the sprocket adapter and next to the top engine
mounting.

i think i found it:
but just 1 question be sure:
a blanking plug is bolted in a hole there;
is the breather thread horizontal and approx. 18 mm???
i will have to find a pipe that i can connect the hose on and lead it to the catch tank
answers/pics appreciated!
thanks

Hi Koen, that sounds like the one although it's 16mm.
The breather is circled in the photo below.

And a bit closer looks like this
From a slightly different angle. A bit blurred but should help ............
thank u very much , HELLFIRE :->
my breather was invisible due to the wiringloom and engine mount blocking the view.
I will ask a friend with a lathe to make me one.
thx
