R1 Idle Speed?

Hi all,

Going to try an set up my carb 2000 R1 tomorrow and was just wondering what the engine should idle at?

I have my bike idle at 700 - 750, doesn't snatch going into 1st at that.

Haynes says 1000 - 1100 RPM. I have mine at about 1200 when warm. Otherwise it needs choke to keep running after a cold start.
