zx900c coolant
kipper - 15/4/08 at 04:27 PM

I am fitting a zx 900 c engine in my tiger b6 and have come to the coolant pipe work.
Does anyone have a line drawing showing the pipe runs?
Does the header tank have to be above the engine and which pipe run does the take of for the header tank come from.
Thanks in advance.
Kipper.

Guess someone will be along with a drawing but.........

T header tank into btm hose.

I assume thermostat as a bypass, this on mine goes to top of header tank.

Yes the level in the header tank should be higher than the highest point of the cooling system.

btw BnQ do a great chrome look pole that is the ideal size for long coolant pipe runs.

About £9 for 3mts

Thanks for the replies fella's.
John I will be going to B&q this week and will seek out some of the chrome pole you refer to.
Paul, the car is an ex race car which was stripped for it's running gear to build a tiger Avon, I bought the bare bones and I am building it for track days.
There is another B6 in Hull but I havn't managed to talk to the owner yet.
Once again thanks to all who answered.
Regards Kipper..
