but the chap said he could fir a threaded piece for the lambda sensor but i dont have one
am i just winding myself up or do i need a sensor in the exhaust??
thanks folks

if its fuel injected then i think you do yes, but if its carbed then its only there for rolling road setup. Mind you i could be wrong but im pretty sure thats what it is

its certainly fuel injected

you dont need or have a sensor so no boss needed, but you will need a power commander that enables the fueling to be optimised to a level at which the cat will work correctly,

I have put an innovate lambda on my R1 as well as a power commander.
The power commander will enable me to tune the fuel map for sva emmissions ( I have a car cat ) and the innovate will enable me to tune the power commander while I am driving for myself.
I will have one sva/mot map and my own road version.
When you consider that a rolling road is going to cost £120 to £200, then the innovate set up is a bargain at £160.
Also a rolling road does not simulate airflow into the engine at speed.
I have intalled two ram air NACA ducts which should help pressurize the airbox.

I'd ask him to fit the 'bung' as it'll always be useful for tuning / rolling road even if you don't need it for general use.

I'm also fitting an LC-1 to my R1 as I have a map from the previous engine and hope to be able to use the adaptive mapping of my Emerald ECU to tweak this. Good value for money (£125 posted - no gauge though) especially when compared to the £500 rolling road session I had last year!

thanks folks im alot clearer now
i do already have a power commander but if i could make it so i can map it myself that would be brillliant
i'll have to dig a bit deeper into this subject
again big thanks to all
