i don't understand how he fixed the problem
i have changed the coils and still the same problem. does he mean change the ECU if so i also don't see how heat affects the ecu? engine is
running at 84 ish.
Also can someone tell me how i can balance the carbs i cannot see anyplace for the gauges to go?
also along the bottom there is a rubber tube i assume this does the float bowls should it be blanked at one end or bot ends?
All advice is more than welcome i am at my wits end.

If I was you I'd sign up to the relivant bike forum - last thing you need is people who are really just guessing giving you duff advice -
obviously you have tried the simple cheap stuff and before you start spending cash you need some proper advise.
Do you have any local-ish bike mates?
You could ask for a knowledgeable type off here to pop round.
Have you bought the correct haynes/workshop manual for the engine you are using? This really is a MUST, otherwise you have to stop and ask for advise
for simple stuff - like where the vacum blanks are located on your carbs. Haynes would have a pic of it which would help - plus if you ever need to
doa nything more serious you have the reference material to hand.
sorry I can't help with the actual problem, but I;d rather not give you duff advise by guessing and frustrate you even more.

To balance the carbs there are little plastic kind of funnels on the bottom of each carb, this is where you connect the tube to.
The tube along the bottom? I'm guessing without seeing but is it not the tube for the coolant that circulates the carbs? Have a look and trace it
back. If it is then yeah you can blank off as necessary.

my advice would be to borrow an ECU off someone local, to test out. Should prove it one way or another. I *think* ive got coils and ecu in the garage that wont be used in a hurry, though indeed i havent been out there in 6 months! Where are you larry?
i would be greatfull its e series i would pay your postage of course.

sadly all my tackle is off a zx9 C. I dont believe the ecu is compatible, would the coils be?
