Where should I stick the air bleed pipe........tried that too uncomfertable.
No , I have the expansion tank off the overflow on the rad with the pressure cap removed and fitted with a blank. Pressure cap on the expansion tank. Am I doing this right?

we're doing it different...

three way joint to header/expansion tank, then leave everything else as it is.

Same set-up as yours. Have you wired your fan switch and thermostat up yet? If so I'd like some help...
