I recently removed the breather pipe from the top of the engine (the breather a few inches back from the oil entry plug, which ran to that air mix valve thingy).
Yesterday it was very hot and I drove it a couple of miles in slow traffic to TimC's so it was hot, but there was a lot of vapour blowing from the hole in the same manner as an exhaust on a cold morning!
Is this normal?

Both my R1 engines did that when hot. I have a hose from there to a catch tank. Lots of steam. Never any liquid.

Then it's a first!
