just about to fit the rad fan but having second thoughts as to whether the rad fan that was supplied by st (its 8" dia. off an r1 i think) is big enough?
any advice welcome.

Don't have a fan fitted at all so 8" should be enough Fan that is........

I have an R1 rad and that came with two 8" fans fitted for bike use, not used it on the car yet though.

I've got the standard 2003 R1 fan.
As I live in Portugal I'm hitting a bit more heat than in UK.
For track use I had to make an alu tunnel from the nose to the radiator (check this album) and I'm using Water Wetter
