BEC R1 Engine Cradle

Just about to start mounting my '05 motor and want to get as much of the bits, tube, bolts etc as I can to be as productive as possible when I get chance to go in the garage.

I've seen both but would like peeps opinions on whether to solid mount or use bushes?

If its bushes where from and what size?

Does anyone have any pictures of their 5VY R1 install / cradle?

Any info gratefully recieved.

If you want to email pics
teambuttnaked @ yahoo . co . uk

Cheers
Andy

Not an R1, but I've got a ZX9R solid mounted, most of the BECs I've seen are solid mounted.

Cheers

We used suspension bushes on our cradle.

Used suspension bushes on mine as well, most manufacturers cars I've seen are solid mounted though so I guess its down to personal preference!

Thanks for the replies, I think i'll throw a few suspension bushes on then just to be safe.

Next question

Where's the cheapest place for bushes?
What size tube do I need for the mounts i.e. the bit the bush sits in?

Any of the manufacturers will sell you the bushes and tubes or try ebay.

I got mine from old Luego cant remember how much but them being in Peterborough meant I could just get them when they were needed.

I see your in Yorkshire close to MK?
