If you'r looking for an older engine, there is always the opption to buy a complete bike and break it. You will have a complete tested unit with everything you need to run and a resonable pay back from the bits you sell on

As ReMan says if your after a older engine, just buy a complete bike off ebay for example, you can pick them up for a few hundred quid, you then get all the running gear you need, clocks etc, then sell on the parts you don't use, this way you end up with a very cheap engine,if your lucky with the sale of the rest of the bike you may even end up with the engine for free, and you know its a good runner.
