MK chippy - 29/9/08 at 07:40 PM

ey,

just want to find out what hp people get at the wheels when using an R1? Is there any extra bits that you would suggest i get to make things run smoother? just want a rough idea of what i will get/need. Also has anyone used a TRT propshaft if so where did you get it from (names/numbers would be good)?
cheers

Dave

Dave,
Might be worth putting which model you are using. (Not wanting to hijack the thread but if anyone has similar info about the 2008 R1, please add it in)

Some of the more known companies...

Bailey Morris

Dunning and Fairbank

JWE Engineering

I'm sure others will be able to add more.

Spooky.... my Phoenix was exactly the same on the PDQ dyno (03 R1).

One of the RGB racers who has a 2006 R1 engine had it tuned at PDQ. I believe the HP at the wheels was 141. Shows that the new generation R1's has a relatively small advantage over the 02/03 injected engine especially when you look at the power curve - the earlier engine is actually more powerful upto 8.5k rpm.
