Have any of you mounted a sprocket onto the output of a standard Sierra diff?

Sounds a lot better than taking time making casings.

Onto the output of the diff - where the driveshafts attach?? Could be good for 1 wheel drive i suppose!! LOL

Not sure i'm with exactly what you mean to be honest - are we talking in a Midi with the engine in its normal orientation as in a bike with the sproket and chain drive??.

i think he means the input for the diff? like on the pinion? i guess it could work ok, but only on a mid engine set up

If you do this then the sprockets at both ends would be very small so I would expect chain issues.

If you look at some specials they have tiny propshafts/rubber couplings.

I assume its in place of the chain driven diff conversions available such as this

Certainly is a cheaper alternative, and mounting is a lot easier too.
