Please bear with me on this one.
I have bought a car with a rod and rose joint connection between the gear lever and the gearbox. Now I am looking at fitting a paddleshift system
too.
So options are : cable connection or rod connection between the steering wheel and the gear linkage.
I know people are using both types, but I think that I want to go rod linkage, but where do I get the rods from and is there anything that I should be
aware of?
Cheers
Craig
I made mine. 10mm steel tube from B+Q, brazed 8mm threaded rod into each end and put rod end on them. If you put lefthand thread on one end its
easier to adjust, but not easy to get. I tried thinner diameter tube and ally tube but they were more/too flexible to give good feel to the change.

like adrian said, make your own
threaded inserts are another idea. you can get them (and your rod ends) from mcgill motorsports on ebay. left and right hand inserts are easily
availabe

Thanks for the replies folks, I have no fabrication/brazing facilities in my garage, so a call to McGill it is.
