hi there,
just bought my new toyn MNR RT R1 engine, wich was build by MNR in may, and never used until now.
engine is fie r1, rebuild by racelada.
works very good, but it's a pain to make the car move on first gear!
i have to push up to 5000 revs and release clutch slowly.
i already have a mk with black birdengine and have no probleme to start.
is it because clutch could be new? anything to tune?
sorry for this awfull english, but i'm sure one of you will be able to translate what i'm trying to explain!
?? seizing brakes maybe
Sounds wrong to me....
brakes?no, they are fine
just seems clutch is to "sticky" and nothing wrong with engine when car is running
Wrong oil in engine?
it could just be that the bird engine is bigger and thus harder to stall. Just give it some welly and see if it wears in!
hi antonio
front end is / was raceleda, has the car been rolling roaded as every correctly setup bike engine car ive driven you can set off at idle in first no
problem.
only other thing s as others have mentioned is checking that brakes are not stuck, or rusted discs if car has been sat a while
edit to add also check reverse box if fitted has oil in it
cheers
marc

thanks all,
in fact, idle appears to be too low.it revs now at 1500 rpm, wich help me to set off.
it may sounds hight, but i only use my car for track use, so it's not a probleme
assume i still have to get use to this new engine, blackbird seems more easy for road use.
