I think alot of people use a pushbike brake cable for the accelerator as you can get them made to suit for not alot. Dont know the blade that well but I used the bike clutch cable as it was for the ZX9R.

anyone know somewhere that makes really long bike cables, say 2.5 - 3 metres...

A fireblade bike clutch cable will fit an Indy (fits mine anyway!) and you can get push bike cable outers as long as you like, it's the inner cable you'll struggle with, the longest will be a rear derallieur cable for a tandem.....

Ask around the independant Motor bike shops near u, not main dealers, the small local type, or custom shops. We got a long cable made to measure with soldered nipples for the throttle cable on the Lmp from the local back street bike shop.

Try DMS in Doncaster - they offered to make cables whatever size we wanted for a reasonable price - we used 'blade clutch cable.

it is not for my car, but a bike engined buggy, rear engined and currently I am using two push bike cables connected with a choky block! ( bit stiff and prone to sticking )
