grusks2 - 23/10/08 at 06:36 PM

Im having trouble removing the old large nut on the chain spocket ready to fit the prop adaptor. ANy ideas, is it reversed thread, or just FT. Any ideas on how to hold the old sprocket still, is there a special tool.

It will be a standard right hand thread. Put the engine in 1st gear. Put your spanner or socket on the nut and with a mallet hit the end of the spanner or wrench. Do this just to nut started. All the best

Block of softish wood for the teeth to bite wedged in between sprocket and block, in gear and big bar will do the job no sweat

Cheers guys, had a air gun on it today but didn't want to damaged anything if its the wrong thread.
