As some of you know I have a old luego viento V8 that I bought as a part build. I believe the original builder bought a 'comprehensive kit'
from Luego maybe 5-6 years ago. I am struggling to identify the Clutch M/C. It's a Girling but I don't seem to be able to find out if the
threads are M10 x 1 or 3/8 unf. I of course could go out and buy bolts and screw them in but I have been reliably informed that they will more or
less screw into each other anyway but can fail under stress.
Did anyone buy a comprehensive kit form Luego around this time and have any info on this? I am leaning towards the imperial fittings myself.
Surely the master cylinder is an 'off the shelf' item, available from any factors, and I should doubt whether the thread is anything else
but metric.
If they are imperial, it must be a very old piece of kit.

IF you are unsure, then my personal thoughts on it would be to go down to your local nut and bolt specialist and get them to assess it/them. Yes you are right about either going in, BUT, there will be a perceptable difference in the 'feel', 'tightness' and 'security' of the correct thread as it goes in, IF you can't feel the difference then your local quality bolt specialist will be able to feel the difference.
I might do a bolt order from namrick or somewhere and get one of both and see which fits the best. Phoned the only local nut and bolt place and they don't stock M10x 1mm. We don't really have any 'local' specialist nut and bolts around here.
Any local autoshop worth their salt should have pipe ends which I assume is what you are after. pennies for 1 for you to confirm thread size & go from there.

I would say that Russbost on here is 100% reliable.
Ok I dragged out the build manual given to me when I purchased my kit and it shows the m/c as having the feed in 7/16 UNF and the pressure side being 3/8 UNF

Has the master cylinder still got plasict stoppers in the thread holes. IF so what colour as they are colour coded for the correct
thread!!!!!!!!!!!!
Paul
YES they are....

No way will a 10mm pipe nut screw into a 3/8" UNF female thread, The only 3/8" pipe nuts on my car are the ones in the master cylinders
