Xflow clutch to flywheel bolts.

Evening guys,

Today I was preparing to refit my xflow engine, secured the flywheel to the engine and started refitting the clutch when a bolt head sheared off.

Can anyone tell me what tensile strength a clutch to flywheel bolt is supposed to be?

And am I correct saying the bolts are 5/16ths UNC?

Not UNC The bolts are 5/16" UNF ----- rotating parts will always have fine threads.

The bolts aren't particularly highly loaded Grade 8.8 or 10.4.

Pretty sure it will be UNF - I haven't worked on a xflow before but a fairly common metric size (such as pinto's etc) is M10 x 1.0 which is quite a fine thread...

A lot of the bolts on a X flow are UNC including the clutch cover bolts IIRC . Measure the number of teeth per inch to be sure
