Does anyone have any experience of the Kumho tyres?

Looking at putting some on the V6.

Regards Dan.

Not the same tyre but i've got ku31's on my 5 series they've lasted for ages, and grip well in wet and dry

I've got them on my mondeo. Come highly recommended for normal cars

Probably not, they are designed for big heavy cars.

Toyo T1R's are nice and cheap, otherwise R1R's, 888's

DaveB666 has some nice Michelin's for sale too

Your all matching my thoughts, great reviews on 1200kgs+ cars.

R1R's are next on my list.

Cheers, Dan.

Much better choice, they are very grippy. Especially when they get hot

Ive used the Kumho v70a,s on a MK Indy before, great tyres for grip, on par with A048,S etc, but expensive, gone for the R1R,s now on the V8 Westy, ive not tried them yet, but they get great reviews, the same compound rubber as the R888,s, but with better wet weather performance, and alot cheaper

Paul, You'll have to let me know how you get on with them, as I'm running a similar weight to you.

Regards Dan.

v70/700 is a great tyre! one of the best for the 7 type car in my opinion

I can certainly vouch for the Michelin Pilot tryes DaveB666 is offering. Lightly scrubbed in with 7mm of tread left on them, excellent value.

I believe they're being used as the control tyre for the Ginetta race series so presumably must work well on lightweight cars. They're certainly working realy well on my 205 GTI, OK, not a 7, but far lighter than you average tin top these days.
